sbst275 SG Trams create a mess esp if the tram stop is at the side of the road.. Even if the traffic light is green, cars cannot proceed as long as there are ppl boarding or alighting the tram yeah...

Rhonda SG Trams are messy business - they result in a mess of wires criss-crossing everywhere! Unsightly. You can't take a decent photo of certain places without seeing the tram lines everywhere. Trams are also difficult to install and expand the lines. Unlike buses, you can't just one day decide to add a new tram route in a new area with no existing rails and tram lines. Trams are disruptive to traffic. Everytime a tram stops, the cars all have to stop as well otherwise, passengers getting on and off the trams will be bulldozed. The tram stops here can be right in the middle of busy roads!! I felt like a sitting duck, praying that no drunk / drugged driver will decide to do some bulldozing whilst I'm there!
